Mr. Ebisinne Kofee Amasuomo, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Delta State Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa on Investment has felicitated with Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on his win at the Appeal Court.

Sheriff Oborevwori who emerged the Delta State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP during the primaries was sued to court on ground of name descripancies on certificates by Olorogun David Edevbie.

A High Court had earlier nullified the Delta State House of Assembly speaker’s candidacy and declared his closest rival, Olorogun David Edevbie as the authentic gubernatorial candidate of the PDP.

However, the recent judgment at the Appellate Court has restored Oborevwori’s candidacy for the 2023 general elections.

Amasuomo is exasperated over the inability of the party to wave into this lingering litigation between the heavyweight political dio to settle their differences for the party to collaborate individual power and influence ahead of the 2023 elections.

The SSA has used this medium to call on Olorogun David Edevbie and his camp to sheathe sword and end further litigation against Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for the collective good of PDP.

He said that it would only do the party favour if further litigations are stopped, and focused on strategies to win the 2023 general elections. “It’s time to stop the lingering lawsuit and look inwards to collectively plan ahead of the 2023 general elections”, he added.
