Comrade Anthony Miens Demebide, one of Niger Delta most vocal Activists cum Master of Ceremony (MC) has thrown loyalty to the winds by casting his first ever javelin at the Burutu Council Chairman, Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele.
According to the renowned entertainer, Angele may have got some credit on infrastructural delivery but has defiecncy in human capital development.
Demebide who has been a frontline supporter of the council boss on and off the media from his first term said Angele’s body movements and attitude are somewhat affirmation of his intention to dance home in his record-breaking second term in the history of Burutu LGA chairmanship.
The socio-political activist also alleged a foul monetary romance of the council chairman with political bigwigs in the state as spotted precedence to pacify the powers that be with no conscience towards the human capital development in the local government.
He didn’t want to leave any stone unturned as inserted further that Burutu LGA is one of the largest LGAs in Delta State, hence it receives the second highest monthly allocation if not the highest.
The allocation comes each month with reports from the council that it’s not really what’s on the papers as received by each LGA in the state which if true will definitely affect the cash flow in the system but not to the extent of truncating the necessities in the LGAs. This is very mind-disturbing. Why servicing politicians in the state with allocations meant for the local government?
The alleged reason of shortfall of fiscal performance is henceforth tied to how the state government and other leaders enjoy loyalty share from the monthly allocations.
The statement briefly reads:
“In as much as I would mark the Angele-led administrations with the Blue Ink, I will also punctuate the marking with the Black Ink as the once honorary name “councilor” has been balkanized with no regard and respect.
“As a matter of fact, councilors suffer a lot from Angele who go home only with their salary as poor as less than #350, 000. 00 with no bonuses and approved funds for projects in their respective wards.
Councilors now hide from social gatherings, and dwell among those who they represent with low self-esteem while the council boss freely moves around, socially unbounded.
“In ideal governance, the councilor is the eye and representative of his ward who supposed draw the government’s attention to his ward with at the local government level through some small-scale projects and petty human capital development but it’s a complete different news today.
“I repulse to say that Angele should not forget his campaign promises on Health, Security, and Human-Capital Developments prior to the state local governments election that brought him into office for the repeated time”, the statement ended.
