The Court of Appeal has adjourned the ongoing case between Olorogun David Edevbie and Sheriff Oborevwori.
Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori polled the highest votes in the primary election held in May to clinch the governorship candidate while Olorogun David Edevbie came second.
The two party men have been on court cases on who ought to be the gubernatorial flagbearer of the party in the state.
However, the ruling of Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja had disqualified the speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly on differences in his certificates.
The ruling by Justice Taiwo in July asked the PDP and Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to replace Oborevwori with that of David Edevbie’s name.
The case was immediately appealed by Oborevwori, with both parties served case notice in its last on August 1.
However, the case has been adjourned to September 5 by the Appeal Court for ruling.
