Mrs Ife Bamidele allegedly set her husband ablaze in Osun state for having a child with another woman outside their marriage. According to reports, Bolu Bamidele was a Cairo-based business man.
The said husband, Bolu came to Nigeria to celebrate with his wife from Cairo on her birth anniversary.
Bamidele set her husband ablaze for having another child from another woman.
The incident occurred their house in Obokun Local Government Area of the state on Sunday, July 17.
The victim was rushed to a hospital for medical intervention but unfortunately gave up the ghost from the injuries on Tuesday.
It was reported that the wife locked the door of the house after seeing him ablaze and ran away. To this regard, the Osun state police command has officially declared the culprit wanted.
In furtherance, a neighbor of the couple, known as Gabriel Adejare, has hinted on how he noticed flames from the couple’s flat when he came back from work at about 7:30pm same day.
Gabriel said he saw the wife of the victim on barefoot, walking in the community.
According to him, he rushed to the scene and met Ife’s younger sister, with some elders, in front of the gate, got informed by Ife’s younger sister that her sister and boyfriend were exchanging words angrily but met the house already on flames when she had gone to call some elders to settle the dispute.
There was no way to gain entrance into the house because Ife had locked everywhere but they had to break about four windows and burglaries to rescue Bamidele who had been in the fire for over 40 minutes.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital but later referred to Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo and later referred to Ibadan for treatment but died on Tuesday.
