A group identified as Pondi Grassroot Movement, PGM has felicitated Chief (Engr.) Kestin Pondi, Managing Director (MD), Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited (KMPSL) on the recent award of Petroleum Prospecting License (PPL) for Ogbanabou Marginal Field (PPL 213) in Delta State by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
PGM has issued a congratulatory message to press men, duly signed by its national coordinator, Comr. Roland Dede, also a member of the Delta State Waterways/Land Security Committee by which a copy was sent to The People’s Voice Ngr.
Comrade Dede Roland, the movement’s national coordinator described the license award to Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited as a reward for hard work and determination.
Dede said, the Ijaws are major booster of the Nigeria’s treasury through their oil and gas but remain the most impoverished and denied from having oil license to operate a marginal field as many others do across the nation.
The group had lauded Chief Kestin Pondi for the unrelenting spirit, courage, and determination with which he pursued this dream to come through, and the focus paid off at the end.
Dede reiterated further that the PGM is extremely happy that Pondi and all stakeholders of Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited have set the pace, thereby breaking this age-long jinx for Ijaw Nation.
The PGM has also encouraged Niger Deltans, especially the Izon breed to always aspire big, noting that those who diligently work for their dreams to come will definitely achieve it someday.
He added that Pondi’s determination to succeed at all cost should be a point to mouid our objectivity and aim in life.
Meanwhile, Dede said that he has no doubts in the capabilities of Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited under the muscles of Chief (Engr) Kestin Pondi, trusting that the company shall be brimly productive in handling the Ogbanabou Marginal Field for the good of the country just like other leading companies in the oil and gas sector.
