The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has been garnering support from the youths, especially those on social media.
Some political pundits have predicted that Obi might be a force to reckon with in the forthcoming election if he plays his cards well and perhaps merges with Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP.
Yesterday, Kwankwaso bluntly said that he can’t be a running mate to Peter Obi. Instead, he asked the former Anambra state governor to accept his offer of being his vice presidential candidate, which was widely criticised by Obi’s supporters.
However, popular activist Adeyanju Deji has a contrary opinion. He wrote on his verified Facebook page, “You can’t change Nigeria if you don’t understand the country. I understand the country so well. That is why I can confidently say that Peter Obi doesn’t have a structure anywhere in the country but only on social media. And his social media structure are only good at insulting people.”
On the accusation of Peter Obi’s supporters insulting people, the LP presidential candidate earlier warned his followers against making personal attacks on other aspirants.
