Tanker, Commercial Bus Head-On Collision Reportedly Claims 18 Lives In Delta

Petroleum tanker has reportedly rammed into a commercial bus carrying about 18 persons in Agbor area on Wednesday evening.

It was gathered that all the 18 passengers in the commercial bus perished in the fatal accident.

An eye witness said that the Wednesday evening heavy rain caused the accident.

The said victims were coming from Onitsha market when their bus collided with the tanker along the Asaba-Benin Expressway in Agbor.

According to reports all the 18 passengers were burnt beyond recognition in the crash.

As at news time, efforts to reach the Delta State police command’s spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe for comment were fruitless.
