Rt. Hon. Joseph Asiaye Alubeze, immediate past leader of Burutu Legislative House in a congratulatory message has rejoiced with Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta who clinched the House of Assembly ticket, Burutu Constituency 1 ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Asupa who contested the primaries on Sunday 22nd May, 2022 pulled 10 votes to edge his closest rival, Chief Hon. Dan Yingi who polled 9, and Comrade Timi Akuna had no vote.
Alubeze thanked and commended all the delegates for having confidence in Asupa, and consequently voting the serving lawmaker to win the ticket to contest the general elections come 2023.
The immediate past and people-oriented leader also called the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to reconcile aggrieved persons if there’s any, and need for all party members to collapse structures in collectivity for victory in the 2023 general elections.
He said, “With cheers of loyalty and happiness, I wish to congratulate my political boss, Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta for his victory at the just concluded primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
“The victory wouldn’t have been possible without the wise decision taken by the delegates at the mini-electoral poll. I want to therefore appreciate them for thumbing up for Hon. Asupa Forteta.
“Now that the primaries have come and gone, it’s time for us as a party to drop our different grievances and work together for victory in 2023, but the party’s leadership should be able to reconcile any differences between members if there’s any”, he added.
Meanwhile, Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta is the present member in the Delta State House of Assembly, Burutu North Constituency.
