A group under the aegis of Pondi Grassroots Movement, PGM chaired by Roland Dede has congratulated and rejoiced with their principal, Rt. Hon. Julius Gbabojor Pondi on his victory at the primaries a few days ago.
Pondi who contested the Burutu federal house of representatives seat at the primaries under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP alongside two other contenders pulled 22 votes to edge his closest rival, Rt. Hon. Frank Enekorogha who scored 12 votes.
The PGM in a congratulatory message sent to Thepeoplesvoicengr, stated in parts:
“We want to with all happiness congratulate our most outstanding principal for his convincing victory at the just concluded primaries for House of Representatives.
“It’s the Lord’s doing and it’s marvelous in our sight. We give God all the thanks for giving us victory.
“We are equally using this medium to appreciate all the delegates that have made this very wise political decision by voting for Pondi to be the party’s flagbearer ahead the 2023 general elections.
“We once again pledge our undistracted loyalty and commitment to stand by him even during the general elections come 2023.
“We are hopeful that our principal and candidate for Burutu federal constituency will emerge winner at the general elections”, the statement ended.
Meanwhile, the general elections is billed for the second quarter of 2023.
