HRM Ekiomi Appreciates Okowa, Angele, Others; Commends Committee For Credible, Free And Fair Selection Process

The newly elected monarch in the just concluded kingship election of Operemor Kingdom, Dr. Ekiomi John Oweiagbe has lauded the Chief Bare Etolo-led kingship selection committee for a credible, free and fair election to usher in the kingdom a new traditional leadership.

His Royal Majesty, (Dr) Ekiomi in a chat with Thepeoplesvoicengr, stated:

“I want to sincerely commend the kingship selection committee, chaired by Chief Bare Etolo which has brought into the kingdom another traditional sunshine.

“While I thank God for His wonderful blessing of an itch-free day without recording commotion among different interest groups.

“I want to use this medium to appreciate the Executive Governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the Executive Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele, stakeholders, fellow contenders, and all supporters for providing a fair and secure atmosphere for the conduct of this traditional election.

“However, we are all winners and remain one big family. Therefore, what is paramount is our collective ideas and unity to move the kingdom forward”, he added.

The long lingering tussle for the traditional stool of Operemor Kingdom has finally put to rest with the emergence of Dr. Ekiomi Oweiagbe who pulled 11 out of the 12 total votes against the earlier purported 22 kingmakers.
