2023: Solidarity Movement Throws Weight Behind Asupa, Endorses Him For Another Term, Says He’s Tested And Trusted [Photos]

A pressure group known as Solidarity Movement for Asupa, SMA has surfaced to support Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta for Second Term in the Delta State House of Assembly.

The endorsement came barely a few days after he was adopted and endorsed to return to the legislature by different groups and wards in the Burutu Local Government Area.

The SMA which has members spread across the six wards of Burutu North Constituency in a meeting today in the Oil City of Warri to adopt and endorse the popular lawmaker.

The group being led by a staunch believer of the Asupa course, a very respected Niger Delta Activist who was also a known force during his first electoral race to the state lawmaking house, Snr. Comr. Ebis Wayas, noted that Asupa has the interest of the people at heart, that he’s tested and trusted, and that the Burutu North Constituents need him more than ever to consolidate on the good works he started, thereby urged him to contest.

A statement made available to Thepeoplesvoicengr reads in parts:

“We therefore, urge and endorse you to contest the forthcoming 2023 general election to represent the good people of Burutu North in the Delta State House of Assembly to consolidate on your laudable achievements.

The group also used the opportunity to thank Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta for the projects he since influenced and facilated to his constituency.

“We want to use this medium to thank you for the construction of 200 meters concrete jetty at Burutu main Town, Renovation of 6 classroom block with office and toilet facilities at Bikorogha Town, Oviri Oloba – Egodor Road Project, which is ongoing, Burutu Community internal road project, phase 1, 2, & 3 and Human Capital Development which cannot be overemphasized. A lot of appointment and Empowerment to your credit”, the statement added.
