Warri……………In line with the directive by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to political parties to conduct their primaries and present their candidates latest mid 2022, those who are interested to run for one elective office or the other are declaring their intentions to appropriate quarters.
In the light of the above, Rt. Hon. (Engr.) Frank Enekorogha, a former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, and also a former Member of the House of Representatives who represented Burutu Federal Constituency from 2011 to 2015 declared his interest to run for the House of Representatives seat for Burutu Federal Constituency.
The former Speaker who was accompanied by members of his campaign organization headed by Chief James Nieketien (JP) and other prominent leaders across Burutu Local Government Area made the declaration to the Executive Officers of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP at the Local Government and Wards level.
In his declaration remarks, Rt. Hon. Frank Enekorogha stated that his desire to rerun for the Federal job wasn’t born out of personal interest but for the collective interest of Burutu people, noting that his time and antecedents as Delta State House of Assembly member and Member of the House of Representatives induced the call from the people for him to contest the forthcoming election.
The former Reps Member thanked all the delegates for their time and faithfulness to the growth of the umbrella party. He further pleaded with the delegates to give him their vote during the primaries scheduled to hold in a few months.
While responding, those who spoke inclusive of Hon. Ebike Oromoni, Chairman of PDP, Burutu LGA commended the former Reps member for his well accepted intention to run for the office and his tested loyalty and contributions to the party from time immemorial.
Oromoni added that he would call for all-inclusive meeting in the Council Headquarters, Burutu for all those aspiring for one elective office or the other in the LGA to publicly declare their interest.
Meanwhile, Enekorogha was warmly received by all LGA and 11 Wards Executive Officers.
