University of Benin, Benin City is one of Nigeria’s most prestigious citadels of higher learning. It convocated more than 16,000 students for the 2019 and 2020 sessions, 46th and 47th combined convocation ceremony held last week.

Kosin Temeoweiagonami Joseph who was among recipients of several academic laurels during the convocation has been commended for his excellence from the days at College of Education, Warri, and University of Benin, Benin City respectively.

In same vein, Engr. Ezon-ebi Ernest Angodideke, one of Niger Delta activist has congratulated Joseph who topped the department of Geography and Regional Planning as the best graduating student, and winner of:

  • Professor Oyegun’s Memorial Prize for the best graduating student in the department of Geography and Regional Planning
  • Mr. Abadua’s Memorial Prize for the best graduating student in the department of Geography and Regional Planning.

Angodideke in his chats with Thepeoplesvoicengr, also called on well-meaning Ijaw leaders, especially Burutu’s to support Joseph who hails from Ayakoromo town in Burutu LGA and his likes out there in sponsoring them for further higher degrees and employment as the case may be.

He added that many students are academically bright and have the burning desire to further their studies after secondary or even university education but because they do not have the financial strength, they opt for something else.

The Ayakoromo-born socialite, fondly called Akpofe 1, has used this means to beckon on our doing-well Burutu business and political classes to support the likes of Mr. Joseph Kosin financially in furthering their studies.
