Yesterday, the founder and president of Governor Stanley Foundation (GSF), Rt. Hon. Stanley Warenanawei Governor alongside members of the NGO distributed writing materials to both primary and secondary school children.

As parts of his efforts to encourage and intimate children to take their studies seriously, he visited schools in Warri Southwest Local Government Area, Delta State.

The Deputy Leader of Warri Southwest Legislative Arm while presenting the items to the students said,

“The Back2School is borne out of extreme determination and commitment to touch lives of students in any little way the foundation can.

“Education is key to success, and as a matter of fact, it’s the surest means to solve society’s problems.

“If education in all its moral light is well imparted to the Nigerian child through any means by the home and in school, our world today would not experience challenges of security, banditry, kidnapping, ritual killings, rape, herdsmen/farmers crisis, cyber crimes, and many others.

“This foundation is therefore encouraging you all today to be serious in school with these items of notebooks, mathematical sets, pens, pencils, erasers, and sharpeners, all in packs of cartons.”

Thepeoplesvoicengr can report that students reached through the ‘Back2School’ project by the Governor Stanley Foundation were over 600 from three schools, and happiness was written all over their faces.

The phase 1 of the project was able to reach three schools in Warri Southwest LGA with over 600 school children. They include: Ewein Primary School 2, Ogbe-Ijoh, Naifor Primary School, Naifor Island, and Naifor Secondary School, Island.

The principal and headmasters; Okuku Rhuadare Frederick, Osanebi Sunday, and Comr. Sir Uduboh A. F. Wellington in their speeches appreciated the kind gesture from the Governor Stanley Foundation.

They equally outlined the challenges the schools are facing as regards to security of the facilities and learning space as a result of population.

While he has already contracted a watchman in one of the schools, the president of the foundation who is also the councillor representing the ward promised to provide security for the schools and equally promised to write the appropriate authorities for the learning space and others.

Also speaking during the ‘Back2School’ project tour, the chairmen of the communities, PTA chairmen, inclusive of Mr. Ebipade Lyon, Kempuwador Zituboh, and the prefects in the schools commended the foundation’s benevolence at a time when everything is astronomically high in prices, and prayed God to bless the foundation.
