Breaking News: Oghara Brews In Tension As Cult Groups Clash, Two Reportedly Dead

There was serious tension at Otefe-Oghara community in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State. This was as a result of the clash between two rival cult groups.

Otefe-Oghara is the hometown of former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, a community housing one of Delta State Polytechnics.

According to sources, Black Axe and Vikings were the rival cult groups that clashed.

Further sources revealed that the two persons died in the clash are members of the rival cult groups.

The incident said to have happened between 8am and 9am. One of the victims was shot dead around the community secretariat, and the other in another location within the community.

Meanwhile, an armed cultist who was fleeing the community was reportedly shot by security operatives.

The shot suspected cultist according to the source is receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital while another armed suspected cultist had been arrested by the police.

In the fear of students being victimized, the management of the Delta State Polytechnic, Oghara has given a two-week mid-semester break to allow students leave the academic environment until calmness returns.
