Chief Adolphus Anuagasi, Chairman, Nigerian Red Cross, Delta State Branch has inaugurated the new executives of Uvwie Division.
The Branch Secretary inaugurated the Dr. Faith-led leadership of the division on behalf of the Delta State’s Chairman.
As part of efforts and activities aimed at strengthening the movement and creating synergy, the NRCS Delta State Branch, Uvwie Division inaugurated her newly elected executives into office today, 31st July, 2021.
The ceremony which had in attendance the NRCS, Delta Branch Chairman, Chief Adolphus Anuagasi who was ably represented by the Vice Chairman, Prof. Edmund Atakpo took place at the Gymn Hall, Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun.
The Branch Chairman charged the newly elected Excos to be up transparent and accountable, putting the Seven (7) fundamental principles first in whatever they do.
Highlights of the ceremony include the formal inauguration of the executive by the Branch Secretary, Trainer Arinomor Charles, Award Presentation and decoration of Associate Members.
In His speech, the Branch Secretary congratulated the newly elected excos and wished them well in the discharge of their respective duties.
The International Red Cross is a worldwide recognized Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), focused on humanitarian services to the society. In other words, the International Red Cross is a voluntary group with objectivity and the aim to help society grow in the light of humanity.
Orukamayan, Chairman of Oshimili LG Division speaking at the inaugural ceremony also charged the newly sworn in executives of the Uvwie Division of Red Cross Society to act within the ambits of the organization in its beliefs, values, and norms.
“The mantle of leadership is placed in your hands now. You have been given the powers in full capacity for the vision and dream of the organization to come to pass.
“To achieve goals cannot be done in isolation with personal interest but good ideas from all stakeholders for the division to grow.”
In furtherance, the Chairman of Oshimili LGA Division tasked the executives and the division to “work in unity and collectivity in correlation to the objectives of the body.”
He noted that the coexistence of love, unity, and understanding is the best means to get things done with the prescription from the organization’s national leadership.
The event under Hon. Ramson Onoyake, Chairman of Uvwie LGA was massively attended by Red-Crossers across Delta.
Other speakers at the event include Hon. Ramson Onoyake, Barr. G. C. Arubayi (Special Guest of Honour), and others pressed in an extention of the Branch Chairman, charged the Uvwie Red Cross Division on the quintessentials of accountability, transparency, cordial relationship, and the spirit of oneness to always deliver on the goals of the organization.

Responding to call to service, Comr. (Dr) Usoroh Faith, the new Chairman of Ovwie Division thanked God and appreciated the Red Crossers who gave them the opportunity to serve in the offices as mentioned above.
“It’s a moment of joy and honour to serve in this magnitude, I therefore thank God and appreciate you all for finding me and others worthy to serve in these capacities.
“For the confidence reposed on us, we shall without discouragement strive to take this organization to its anticipated tomorrow.
“We shall not let you down in the leadership of this division in upholding the norms of the organization in building a liveable society.
“But in this particular call, we must collectively work to achieve its goals through prayers and better ideas to move the body to the next feat.”
Dr. Faith added, “For an effective service to the society, the division requires basic things like ambulance, first aid kits, office complex, and others.
“I plead with the well-to-do and all to join in the acquisition of these basic things to grow the division.”
