It’s a tragedy as Pa Joe Ayomike and wife, Chinyere Awurum Ayomike were allegedly murdered in their residence in Warri.
The incidence seem to have happened some days aback as the corpses of the couple were already decomposing.
They lived alone in their compound. The silence of the compound and several complaints of people to have not heard from them about a week made the check on the residence only to discover their lifeless decomposing bodies.
Pa. Joe Ayomike, younger brother to late Pa. Johnson Oritsegbubemi Sunday Ayomike, Pa. JOS Ayomike (former Chairman of Itsekiri Leaders of Thought) and his wife, Chi-Chi Ayomike, was this morning, Monday June 28, sighted in their residence at GRA, beside Nana College, Warri in Delta State.
As at the time of this report, Policemen from the Area Command, Warri, were said to have moved to the scene, while welders had been mobilized to enable Men of the Nigerian Police and sympathizers, gain full access to the residence, with a view to conducting full flesh investigation as to what may have led to the death of Pa. Joe Ayomike and his wife, Chi-Chi Ayomike.
Pa. Joe Ayomike’s driver and security man were not seen at the residence when sympathizers rushed to the home this morning, while the driver did not respond to calls put through his mobile line, but later came around as the security man’s whereabout remained unknown.
Pa. Joe Ayomike, attended London School of Economics and Political Science, LSE and lived in England.
He built Agura Hotel, the first Five-Star hotel in Abuja City Centre,which was opened in 1986. Late Pa. Joe Ayomike, was also Managing Director of the hotel, when he decided to run as Mayor of the City. In 1992, he founded the Warri Choral Society, WCS, where he used to organize a two-hour concert, conducted by his wife, Chinyere Awurum Ayomike, who had PhD and was Senior Lecturer at the Delta State University, Abraka.
