A popular activist cum entertainer has been a constant advocate for the completion of the Ayakoromo bridge project inherited by Okowa from his predecessor, Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan in 2011.

Comrade Anthony Miens Demebide who goes by the stage name, MC Akpolokpolo has over time called on the Executive Governor of Delta State to fulfill his electioneering groomy promise made to the people of Burutu LGA in 2011 at Kiagbodo Town, the traditional headquarters of Ngbilebiri-Mein Kingdom.

The social media influencer has severally called on Delta Ijaw leaders to prevail on His Excellency to promptly release funds for this project.

In a statement, Miens demonstrated that he’s greatly perturbed over the muteness of an elder statesman, Chief Pa E. K. Clark who also hails from where the project is sited.

It Reads;

“Is Pa. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark also a preacher of unimportance about this project as conveyed by some enemies and self-centered breeds?

In case Pa E. K. Clark has forgotten his root, I should stand bold to remind him that he’s from Kiagbodo Community in Ngbilebiri-Mein Kingdom, where Ayakoromo Town is a part.

Chief E. K. Clark has downplayed his feathers on the Ayakoromo bridge project from the time Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan awarded the project, and subsequently did little work.

He’s one of the foremost ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, an elder statesman, an opinion leader, a respected chief in Ngbilebiri-Mein Kingdom, father of Ijaw Nation, yet he has not been able to use any of the mentioned feathers to prevail on the Okowa-led administrations to complete the bridge project.

Let me remind Pa E. K. Clark that Governor Arthur Okowa made the groomly electioneering vow at his hometown right in front of the Burutu LGA during his gubernatorial campaigns in 2015, and later in the LGA’s headquarters in 2019.

I know that Daddy E. K. will not claim unawareness of this campaign promise Okowa repeatedly made.

The Ijaw Father has not said anything about this infrastructure neither has he prevailed on His Excellency, Sen. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa to promptly release funds for the project but has resolved to be in romance with Okowa by projecting his son, Chief Ebikeme Clark for one appointment or the other.

Chief E. K. Clark should speak up for his people. This project is sited in his kingdom. E. K. is aware that Okowa has developed the Delta State North infrastructurally, but feeding Delta Ijaws with crumbs from his dining table.

Meanwhile, Okowa has approved a multi-billion naira Beneku Bridge across Ase River to link Ndokwa West and East which he promised to complete in 2022, yet no one is talking for the fear of jeopardizing his or her political romance with him.

As a matter of fact, the Ayakoromo bridge project has been starved with funds and dejected. Okowa has obviously refused to promptly release funds. As I cry here, the contractor is not on site.

Speak Up, Daddy E. K. Clark”, the statement ended.
