Six Years In Office: “Act Your Campaign Promises, Don’t Eat Them”, Angodideke Tells Okowa, Also Charges Delta Ijaw Leaders On Ayakoromo Bridge Project

Engr. Ezon-ebi Angodideke, a Niger Delta activist and youth leader has again lashed out at Governor Okowa over spite on Ayakoromo bridge project.

In a chat with Thepeoplesvoicengr, Angodideke demonstrated that he’s extremely pained over the slow pace of work on the Ayakoromo bridge project, noting that His Excellency has decided to turn his back to his words of promise during his first and second term electioneering campsigns, that if voted into office he would complete the bridge.

Today marks Okowa’s six years in office, just two years away from the termination of his second term, yet the project hiccups on release of funds by the governor.

Expressing disdain, Ezon-ebi has also used the medium to charge Delta Ijaw leaders, Pa E. K. Clark, Senator James Manager, representing Delta South Senatorial District where the project is sited, Dcn Bar. Kingsley Otuaro, Deputy Governor of Delta State, Hon. Nicholas Mutu, Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, member representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the House of Reps, Hon. Asupa Forteta, member representing Burutu North Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, and traditional rulers to prevail on Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa to complete the project.

Speaking further, Angodideke frowned at the silence of the Delta Ijaw leaders on this socio- economically important infrastructure for the state and the people of four neighboring LGAs inclusive of Burutu, Bomadi, Ughelli North, and Ughelli South, asking if they would remain mute this project was sited in their primary area.

To this end, Comrade Ezon-ebi has again pleaded with His Excellency, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa not to leave the project for another political era, but should release sizeable funds to mobilize contractor back to site, noting also that for quite long time now, the contracted firm is not on site, reason may not be unconnected with funds.
