The Ijaw Youth Council, Ngbilebiri Clan is thrown into commotion espoused by preceding of the clan meeting held on Saturday 24th April, 2021 as faction voices sprout against the non-consonanted process of electing the clan’s executives.
Comrade Ebi Waya has petitioned the Western ELECO headed by Comrade Napoleon Kenerekedi of their non compliance to issue him the chairmanship form after he had paid for it.
The complainant, Comrade Ebi Waya has through the legal firm of Bar. Pele Demebide & Associates alleged that there was no election, neither there was a concensus in the clan’s last meeting, and that Comrade Sam Ebolo was handpicked with all bias against the wish of the electorate.
Meanwhile, Ebi Waya through a statement sent to ThepeoplesvoiceNgr frowned at the one-man’s decision to make Ebolo Chairman of Ngbilebiri IYC, has therefore warned that he as a true son of Ngbilebiri and a known figure in the struggle should not be robbed of his franchise.
The statement reads, “That our client is a chairmanship Aspirant of Ngbilebiri Clan IYC. Our client purchased the chairmanship form(#15, 000.00) from Napoleon Kenerekedi led Clan electoral committee.
There was no consensus IYC Chairmanship Aspirant of Ngbilebiri Clan.
That it is our client’s constitutional right to vote and be voted for.
That it is strongly rumored that the electoral committee had concluded plans to impose Sam Ebolo on Ngbilebiri Clan against the wish of the electorate”.
Furthermore, the statement reads;
“That our client shall not hesitate to seek redress from a court of law should the clan electoral committee make manifest their rumored plan.
On this premise, we strongly warn that our client’s constitutional right to vote and be voted for is not denied or violated in any form and under any disguise”, the statement ended.
