The zone 13, zonal Police Headquarters in Ukpo, Anambra State has been attacked at the early hours of Monday by gunmen numbering about 20.
The unknown gunmen razed down some offices and a good number of vehicles during the attack.
The reason for the attack on the zone 13 Anambra headquarters was still unknown at the time of this report.
Gathered from source, a police officer who pleaded anonymity stated that the gunmen were denied access into the armoury department of the place.
According to him, “Our men prevented them from having entrance into our armoury. I can’t tell you the number of casualties now because we have scanty information about the development.”
An eyewitness said there was heavy gunshots before the offices and vehicles were razed.
According to the source, efforts to reach the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO), Nkeiru Nwode for information were not successful.
