A Nigerian Monarch In Trouble As NDLEA Finds Illicit Drugs In His Palace

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA of Anambra state chapter has discovered a stash of cocaine in Nigerian monarch’s palace.

Jail term awaits the suspect behind this drug trafficking if taken to the law court.

Femi Babafemi, the spokesperson of the agency made a statement on Monday 8th March, 2021 that the illicit drugs were discovered by the Anambra state command of the agency.

According to Femi Babafemi, 58.5 grammes of cocaine and 13.9 grammes of heroin were the quantity recovered.

The name of the traditional ruler whose palace housed these illicit drugs was not mentioned by the NDLEA.

The statement reads, ”In a related development, operatives of the Anambra State Command of the Agency have recovered 58.5 grammes of cocaine and 13.9 grammes of heroine concealed in the palace of a prominent traditional ruler in the state.”

The Anambra command of the NDLEA said it has started investigating the situation of drugs trafficking in the monarch’s palace. The Anambra NDLEA commander, Muhammadu Misbahu confirmed that the palace security guards are helping in tracing the dealer behind the consignment.
