In Akure today, the capital city of Ondo state, a Sitting High Court has sentenced Kolawole Apoti to life imprisonment for forcefully having canal knowledge with four teenager girls.
One of the victims of the sexual assault was the niece of Kolawole, a secondary school student who also invited other teenage girls to his house where he overpowered and forcefully had sex with them and gave each of them N100.
The convict was said to have been having canal knowledge with his niece for a long time before the niece brought her friends into the bedroom dance.
According to sources, Kolawole was exposed when the victims were fighting over the money he paid to one of them and the principal of their school got to know about the matter.
The matter was reported at a police station and the culprit was charged to court.
Several arguments between the defence counsel and the prosecution counsel ensued in the court, but the court stamped that the prosecution proved its case beyond reasonable doubt that Kolawole raped the girls who were supposed to be his children.
The trial judge, Justice Olutoyin Akeredolu, declared him guilty of rape, charged and sentenced the defendant to life imprisonment.
