Burutu LG Polls: Kiagbodo/Bikorogha Take Front Role As Clement And Gomeromo Brace To Represent Wards 13 And 14 Respectively

The political readiness seems waxing stronger and intensified as the Delta State local governments elections are just four days away.

Affirmatively, no going back on the stipulated date of Saturday 6th March, 2021 for the polls as announced by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC.

The People’s Democratic Party, PDP wards Kiagbodo and Bikorogha have flagged off their campaigns ahead of the chairmanship and councillorship elections billed to hold four days from today.

Mr. Wagha Clement and Mrs. Gift Gomeromo were officially introduced as the PDP’s candidates of Kiagbodo and Bikorogha wards respectively. They were equally unveiled to the party at the meeting for members to once again behold their faces.


The party leaders and members in line with its socio-political culture converged to flagoff the ward campaigns. They gathered at the wards to crusade for massive turnout on the election day to vote for the umbrella party.

While speaking at the ceremony, the leaders of the wards charged all the members of the PDP to remain committed to the course and vote for the candidates, inclusive of Hon. Godknows Angele as chairman, further encouraged them to come out enmasse on Saturday and vote for the People’s Democratic Party.

Mr. Wagha Clement and Hon. Gift Gomeromo noted in their speeches that they would always uphold the trust and confidence posed on them to deliver optimally, premising on the Angele-proposed three points agenda of Security, Health, and Human Capital Development if elected.

The pair being overwhelmed with joy, appreciated Governor Okowa, leaders of the LGA and wards. They also pleaded with all stakeholders most especially leaders of the wards for same support even on Saturday to ensure their emergence as councillors.

Conclusively, those counted present at the campaign flagoff are: Hon. Ebikeme Clark, SA to the Governor, High Chief Andrew Sigana Akpasele, the Regent of Ngbilebiri-Mein Kingdom, Hon. Ozano Ayadi, Ward Campaign Coordinator, Rt. Hon. Joseph Asiayei Alubeze, immediate past leader of Burutu Legislative Arm, Mr. Philip Forteta, Akpos Okotie.
