As the Delta Local Government elections draw closer by each passing day, all political parties are working round the clock to ensure their respective candidates emerge victorious at the polls.
The Delta Local Government chairmanship and councillorship elections are billed to hold on the 6th of March, 2021 across the state.
Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress candidate of Adu ward in Warri Southwest LGA, Mr. Paul Owei has vowed to reclaim the councillorship office from the Peoples Democratic Party, which has been the possessor of the office.
The APC councillorship candidate in his chats with Thepeoplesvoicengr frowned at the nonchalance exhibited towards the development of the ward by the PDP’s councillors emerged from its inception.
The candidate further alleged that the ward hasn’t benefited the dividends of democracy as expected. It has rather suffered the brunts of injustice and political alienation.
“Over time, we have been sidelined by the ruling party at the state level, and we couldn’t exercise our franchise as outright imposition has been the order, but this time we must rise against disenfranchisement”.
In another part, his statement reads, “successive governments of Warri Southwest LGA paid less or no attention to the ward in terms of practical delivery of campaign promises. No visible government presence via the routine basic infrastructural needs of the people, such as electricity, drinkable water, hospital, school, etc”, he added.
However, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate has promised to prioritise the yearnings of the people if elected to represent them at the Legislative Arm before his personal demands.
He therefore pleads with all the eligible electorate of the ward to vote for him for a course-driven representation that will fetch the needed result for the people.
