A woman said to be 50 years of age has enrolled in class two of Junior Secondary School at an Ilorin Grammar School.
The 50 year old mother is identified as Mrs. Ajayi Folashade. She registered with children far younger than her age as her classmates in the Kwara State capital’s Grammar School.
Mrs. Ajayi is never discouraged that she would sit and learn with students of her grandchildren’s age bracket in same class, noted that she purposely registered in school to better her life, and that she hopes to become a teacher in the future.
Mrs. Folashade therefore encourages others through this decision. No dream is not achievable irrespective of age. We should all push for our dreams with zeal and determination.
The woman called on the government to create adult education programs so that older people would not have to sit with children to learn because it could discourage many from enrolling in circular public schools.
