AYD Sympathises With Okowa Over Father’s Death, Lauds Him For Releasing Funds For Ayakoromo Bridge Project

The Ayakoromo Youths in Diaspora, AYD are not left out in commiserating with His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the Executive Governor of Delta State over the death of his octogenarian father, Chief Arthur Okorie Okowa who died on Thursday 28th January, 2021.

The AYD noted in a statement signed by its leadership which was made available to Thepeoplesvoicengr, reads thus, “It’s a trying moment for the governor and the entire bereaved family. This sad incident is monumental to not only the family but also the state at large. We therefore condole the state government and family. We equally pray for God to give the family the fortitude to bear this irreversible loss”.

Consequently, AYD also use this medium to commend Governor Okowa for releasing funds for the continuation of the Ayakoromo bridge project. It was a promise made during the 2021 budget presentation to the state legislature.

Furthermore, AYD said that this singular act by His Excellency is a show of his second administration’s commitment to complete and commission the Ayakoromo bridge project in the second quarter of 2021 as promised during the budget presentation.

The entire Ayakoromo Community and the youth wing trust in the Okowa-led-administration to earnestly approve funds earmarked for continuous work on the project.

“We are also using this means to appreciate His Excellency, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for releasing funds for the Ayakoromo Bridge Project as promised in the 2021 budget. For matching your words with action, we commend you sir. We also believe with this act, the project shall be completed and commissioned at the state government’s designated time”.
