Bomadi Politics and Its Intricacies; Ebigba Bows Out With A Powerful Valedictory Speech

The simplest and most precise definition of politics is the struggle for power.

Although, most players of this game especially in this part of the world, “Third World Countries,” lack ideologies in their political culture.

What comes to play mostly is interest of the few bourgeoisies that shapen the political events and decisions making processes.

Meanwhile, we delved into the Bomadi and Delta State politics to change certain abnormalities in an uncertain environment.

As a matter fact, Local Governments in Nigeria survive at the mercy of the state governments that have absolute control by a way of legislation with instant powers to probate and reprobate its functions

One eventually becomes a lonely voice in the wilderness. Most of the elected councillors are either protecting one interest or the other in an uncertain environment.

Inspite of all, one of the primary functions of a legislator is to make laws and also to inform the electorates about government policies and programmes for them to be at tune with the workings of the government.

As a patriotic former Bomadi legislator, I can boldly state that I did my best to promote and protect issues that are of general interest of my ward and the entire Bomadi Local Government Council.

Moreover, I was pressurised by my teaming supporters to recontest the PDP primaries which was constitutionally my franchise to vote and to be voted for, but I declined to recontest and allow others to strive politically. I never wanted to backslide on the promise I made to my people.

Various crises of interest crossed the Bomadi PDP mock primaries and most of the key players wanted to act as God but were eventually humbled by strict protection and observance of guidelines.

Congratulations to you all that emerged PDP flag bearers of our great party to fly the party flag in the forthcoming local government elections, slated for the 6th of March, 2021.

By his grace, I was the Chief Security of the most peaceful and credible primary election in Bomadi with my men on ground. I must say thanks to my crony, Prince Nelson Gomeromo Esq, Hon Chuks Onitsha, Tolu Dokido Alexander and host of others that sacrificed their time and resources with me to conduct the primary election on the 21st December, 2020.

Others on the list include Deinghan Macauley, Barr.(Hon) David P. Ekereokosu, Chief Hon Elder Godwin Maze and a host of others openly appreciated my team for the peaceful process throughout the election.

Those that claimed they’ve the financial muscle and social media prowess were humbled further. Politics is beyond what the mere eyes can see.

I’m grateful to God and my people for electing me as a councillor to represent ward 2 in the last three years in Bomadi LGA with encouraging grade on the scoresheet of democratic dividends delivery.
