As earlier announced, schools may not even resume on the 18th of January, 2021.

Lately from December, 2020 to January, 2021, Covid-19 infection cases are in the upsurge as daily reported cases always count more than 1000.

Mr. Mustapha, Chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Covid-19 on press briefing on Monday 11th January, 2021 frowns at the reopening of school and religious activities void of strict observance of Covid-19 safety protocols. This has given steady rise to infections on daily basis.

Moreso, Mr. Mustapha blamed the constant hike in infection cases to both local and international travels. Our major airports of Abuja and Lagos are porous without imbibing the NCDC guidelines.

The unravelling situation could hit its worst ever. In the light of the above, health experts have pinpointed the fallout to weak enforcement of guidelines and safety protocols in our major airports. The hike of cases now bothers on our hospital facilities.
